This software enables faculty, staff, and external users like students, vendors, partners etc… to communicate in new and exciting ways, over a secure Internet connection from anywhere in the world. Faculty and staff are licensed to use the full SFB client, while external users like vendors, partners etc… are able to use the SFB app on smart phones, tablet or the free web‐based SFB Web App on desktop, laptop that is detailed in this guide.
● You can instant message (IM) your colleagues over a safe and encrypted connection. The client software integrates with your email account and Microsoft Outlook to enable you to easily control your privacy and overall experience.
● You can start a video chat with one or more of your colleagues for a quick face to face meeting without leaving your desk.
● You can share all or part of your desktop with your colleagues so that you can easily collaborate on a document, get help on a problem, etc.
● You can start or join web conferences with multiple attendees to collaborate on Microsoft Office documents, and more.
● You can invite colleagues outside of SAIF or students to join your chats and video conferences via the free SFB Web App.
● You can access SFB from your office, on the road with your laptop, or anywhere else that you can get an Internet connection.

How to join a skype meeting
● To join a skype meeting with the software, you must have a SAIF email account. Faculty and staff are licensed to use the full SFB client.
● while external users like vendors, partners etc… are able to use the SFB web app on PC or MAC, and app on smartphone, tablet.

Join a skype meeting with APP on smartphone or tablet
Windows Phone and iOS devices, Android have Anonymous Join. With this feature you can join a SFB Meeting even if you don’t have a SFB account.
  1. To install the SFB on a smart phone or tablet, you may find it by searching for ‘Skype for business’ in the App Store on IOS device and google play, 应用宝 on Android device and Market Place on Windows Phone.
2. Click on the link named ‘Join Skype Meeting’ in your email that the Organizer sent to you to open the meeting through your web browser.
3. Click on ‘Guest’ and enter your guest name and click ‘Join Meeting’. If you are member of staff or faculty, then you can also click on ‘SFB Account’ and enter your SAIF email address and the password to join the meeting as an organizer.
