Summary
SAIF offers scanning and remote printing services to SJTU students. With wireless capabilities, you can send files from anywhere and access print services. More information is provided below:
● Printer Model: AD555
● Location: 3rd Floor, 8th Floor(Only PhD students)
● System Requirements: Windows and Mac computers
● Default Setting: Black and white printing
2. Install the Aurora Print Driver on Your PC
● Double-click the installer (Allow through firewall if prompted).
● Select language > Choose installation path > Complete installation.
3. Initial Print for Windows
● Click Print and select AuroraPrint, then click 'OK'.
● User Authentication: Enter 'Username' and 'Code' (Refer to the right image).
● Select Print Method: Click 'Swipe Card' (Refer to the right image).
● Wait for the print job to complete after swiping your card.
4. Initial Print for Mac
● Open the "Add Printer" wizard on your computer.
● In the Address field, enter 172.16.110.124.
● In the Queue field, enter your SAIF account's.
● Under the Use section, choose Select Software and pick GENERIC55BW-9 PS.
● Click Add to complete the printer installation.
5. Register Student ID Card
● Swipe your student ID card on the card reader before the initial print.
● Enter your ID number and code, then click 'OK'.
How to Copy and Scan
1. Swipe your card before operating.
2. Place the paper:
● For copying, place the original on the platen cover at the upper left corner.
● For scanning, place the paper face up or face down in the paper cassette.
3. Copy
● Select the "Copy" mode and press the 'Start' button.
4. Scan
● Select "BIPS", choose the email address for the scanned file, and press the 'Start' button.
Attention:
1. User authentication (swiping your student ID card) is required every time before using the print services.
2. Press the 'Access' button to log out after use.
