Service-VPN
SAIF PPTP VPN - MAC OSX
Please note that no more PPTP in apple IOS 10 and macOS Sierra, so please use L2TP VPN we provided on IOS 10 and macOS Sierra.
1. Click on the Apple in the top left of your screen and select "System Preferences..."
2. In the section Internet and Network, select "Network".
3. Below the left hand section where your Connection types live there is a small plus sign, click on "+".
4. For Interface select "VPN", VPN Type select "PPTP" for Service Name choose a name for your connection something like "VPN for oversea and remotely access" will work and select Create.
5. Now on the left hand side, you will have a new connection with the name that you just chose, go ahead and select it so that we can start to configure it. Enter the the Server Address as "pptpvpn.saif.sjtu.edu.cn". Then click on Advanced...
6. Select "Advanced..." and then Select "Send all traffic over VPN connection"
7. Now click on Authentication Settings..., in the menu that appears select Password, type in your password and select OK.
