Service-VPN
SAIF VPN - MAC
Please note that no more PPTP in apple IOS 10 and macOS Sierra, so please use L2TP VPN we provided on IOS 10 and macOS Sierra.
1. Click on the Apple in the top left of your screen and select "System Preferences..."

2. Select "Network".

3. Below the right hand section where your Connection types live there is a small plus sign, click on "…"

4. For Interface choose "Add VPN", for VPN Type choose "L2TP over IPSec", and for Service Name choose a name for your connection something like "SAIF VPN", then click Create.

5. Now on the left hand side, you will have a new connection with the name that you just choose, go ahead and select it so that we can start to configure it. Enter the Server Address, then click on Authentication Settings...
● For internet access, the Server Address is "vpn1.saif.sjtu.edu.cn".
● For SJTU library, the Server Address is "vpn2.saif.sjtu.edu.cn".

6. Then under User Authentication: with Password selected type your SAIF password. Under Machine Authentication: with Shared Secret selected type 090419 then click OK.

7. Go to the Options tab and make sure "Send all traffic over VPN connection" is checked.

8. To connect: On the top right of the menu bar there is a VPN icon that when you click on, will give you an option to connect to SAIF VPN.

9. To disconnect: On the top right of the menu bar there is a VPN icon that when you click on, will give you an option to disconnect from SAIF VPN.
